ThE Alternative Spring Break Program

The WNE Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Program is currently raising funds for our upcoming service trip.  We are looking to raise $2,000 through this page in order to defray the costs associated with traveling to New Orleans to work with the NOLA Tree project.  We need your help!

Who are WE?

The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) Program consists of a diverse group of undergraduates, representing students from all class years and from various majors within each college.  In previous years, ASB has gone to Des Moines, Iowa and Beaumont,Texas (Hurricane Harvey Relief).  This year the group is headed to New Orleans, Louisiana!

our story

This year's trip is to New Orleans, Louisiana, to work with the NOLA Tree Project. Over the past 12 years, the mission of NOLA Tree Project has been to replant the 100,000 trees lost to Hurricane Katrina. With the help of 93,000 volunteers they have planted nearly 50,000 trees and have become the region’s leading tree organization. Our trip begins on March 16, 2019 and concludes on March 23, 2019.

Where will the money go?

Every donation goes directly toward defraying the costs of travel and service for the students who are dedicating their Spring Break to work for a greater cause. Every donation will get the students one step closer to being able to make an impact. Our trip break down is as follows:

**Please note funds do not go to a specific participant from this campaign, but to the entire group as a whole**

Help us succeed!

Any size donation is immensely appreciated, as is the sharing of this page! Whether through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, word of mouth, or neighborly chit-chat at your local dog park, the more people who know, the better!

Thank you in advance for any type of help you can provide. This trip will not be possible without you!
